The RECARO VELIX 1 i-Size Car Seat in Elegant Beige is a long-lasting, forward-facing car seat designed to adapt as your child grows from toddler to older child. Suitable from 76–150 cm (approximately 15 months to 12 years), the VELIX 1 combines RECARO safety technology with clever automatic adjustment, excellent ventilation and everyday comfort.

Rather than simply adjusting in height, the VELIX 1 has been designed to change with your child's proportions. As the headrest is raised, the side wings automatically expand, increasing the available shoulder width at the same time. This helps maintain a comfortable, supportive fit throughout the years without the need to manually adjust multiple parts of the seat.

From Toddler Seat to High-Back Booster

The RECARO VELIX 1 covers two important stages of your child's development.

76–105 cm – 5-Point Harness Mode

From 76 cm, at least 15 months old and up to 21 kg, your child is secured using the VELIX 1's integrated 5-point harness.

During this stage, the car seat itself is securely installed using:

• ISOFIX connectors
• Top Tether
• Integrated 5-point harness for the child

This provides a secure and straightforward installation while keeping younger children properly supported within the seat.

100–150 cm – Vehicle Seat Belt Mode

As your child grows, the integrated harness can be stored away and the VELIX 1 converts into a high-back booster.

From 100–150 cm, your child is secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, with ISOFIX used where appropriate.

The result is one car seat designed to accompany your child from approximately 15 months right through to around 12 years old.

Automatically Expanding Side Wings

Children don't just grow taller — their shoulders become wider too.

That's why the VELIX 1 features dynamically expanding side wings. Raising the headrest simultaneously increases the width around the shoulder area, allowing the seat to adapt naturally to your child's changing proportions.

It means fewer adjustments for parents and a supportive fit throughout each stage of growth.

The VELIX 1 incorporates RECARO Adaptive Side Protection (ASP) to provide additional protection in the event of a side impact.

Intelligent Height Lock

Changing from an integrated harness to the vehicle seat belt at the correct stage is important, so RECARO has incorporated an intelligent height-locking system into the VELIX 1.

The system separates the lower headrest positions used with the integrated 5-point harness from the higher positions required for vehicle seat-belt use.

This clever feature helps reduce the risk of selecting an unsuitable headrest position and makes adapting the seat as your child grows more intuitive.

3 Recline Positions

Comfort matters on everyday school runs just as much as it does on longer journeys.

While using the 5-point harness configuration, the VELIX 1 provides three recline positions, which can be selected using a simple one-handed adjustment.

Whether your little passenger is watching the world go by or settling down for a nap, finding a comfortable position is quick and easy.

Please note: when the VELIX 1 is being used in the 100–150 cm vehicle seat-belt configuration, the seat should be used in its upright position.

Enhanced Hexagonal Ventilation

RECARO has incorporated a large ventilation zone into the rear shell of the VELIX 1.

The distinctive hexagonal ventilation openings encourage air to circulate through the back of the seat, helping reduce heat build-up around your child.
