INGLESINA

🇮🇹

Who are Inglesina?

Inglesina is a premium Italian baby equipment company with a rich heritage going back to 1963. Founded in the Veneto region of northern Italy by Liviano Tomasi and his brothers, the brand started by crafting elegant prams inspired by traditional English carriage designs — hence the name Inglesina, which evokes the idea of an “English-style” pushchair.

From those early beginnings, Inglesina has grown into a globally recognised maker of high-quality strollers, travel systems, car seats, highchairs and other baby essentials, known for combining Italian craftsmanship, thoughtful design, comfort and safety.

Suspension

  • Aptica: Standard suspension — great for paved streets and city walking.

  • Aptica XT: Enhanced suspension system (often referred to as Adaptive Cruise or improved shock absorption) that smooths out bumps and feels more stable on varied terrain.

Ride Comfort

Thanks to the wheel and suspension upgrades, the XT feels noticeably smoother and more controlled, especially off‑pavement.

How the Suspension Works on the Inglesina Aptica XT

The Aptica XT uses an upgraded stroller suspension system that’s designed to be responsive, comfortable, and adaptive — especially when compared with standard stroller suspension.

Think of suspension like the shock absorbers on a car: its job is to absorb bumps and vibrations from the ground so that the stroller seat stays stable and your child feels less jolting, and you push with less effort.

The Key Concepts

1. Wheels + Suspension = Smooth Ride

Instead of being purely rigid, the XT’s suspension lets each wheel move independently enough to react to bumps. That means:

  • When a wheel rolls over an uneven surface (like grass, gravel, cobblestones, or a curb), the suspension absorbs much of the impact.

  • This prevents sharp jolts from being transferred directly up into the stroller frame and seat.
